It did not take long for New World to make changes at the helm of their newly acquired Rosewood Hotels and Resorts. Chief Executive Officer John Scott III, who led Rosewood for the past eight years, has been replaced by Radha Arora. Arora joins Rosewood from Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts where he was Regional Vice President and General Manager of Beverly Wilshire, a Four Seasons Hotel. In his sixteen-year career with Four Seasons, he held management positions at Four Seasons hotels in Philadelphia, Toronto, Hawaii, and Goa, India.

Paul White has resigned as Chief Executive Officer of Orient-Express Hotels, with Chairman Bob Lovejoy stepping in as Interim Chief Executive Officer. Lovejoy, a director since 2000, was recently named Chairman of the Board. He is the former Managing Director and Partner at Lazard Frères & Co. and a Partner at Davis Polk & Wardwell.

Starwood Hotels & Resorts has named Bob Jacobs Vice President-Brand Management North America for its Sheraton and Westin Hotels. For the past twenty years, he had been with Procter & Gamble, most recently as North America Marketing Director for the Duracell brand.

Bill Doak takes over from Cormac O'Modhrain at the CIM Group as President of Hospitality Management. For the past four years, Doak had served as General Manager at the Loews Santa Monica. He is the former General Manager of the Mondrian West Hollywood and Hotel Manager of the Beverly Wilshire.

Benchmark Hospitality has named James Simkins Chief Operating Officer for Personal Luxury Resorts & Hotels. He was most recently senior partner and Chief Executive Officer of MTM Luxury Lodging, a recent Benchmark Hospitality purchase.  

Jonathan Crellin has been named Managing Director of the Boston Harbor Hotel. For the past fifteen years, he had been with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, most recently as General Manager of the Fairmont Hamilton Princess in Bermuda. He is a former General Manager of the Fairmont Copley Plaza. 

David Chase has taken on the role of General Manager of the New York Palace. Most recently, Chase was the pre-opening General Manager of the Trump SoHo New York . He is the former Hotel Manager of the Ritz-Carlton New York, Battery Park. At the New York Palace, he takes over from Ed Mady, now the Managing Director of the Beverly Hills Hotel.

Canada's Groupe Germain has appointed Didier Obeuf to the newly created position of Vice President of Operations, based in Toronto. He was most recently the Regional Asset Manager for Westmont Hospitality. He is the former Senior Vice President of Operations, Canada, for Accor North America.

Matthew Sterne has been appointed General Manager for the Fairmont Pittsburgh, succeeding Leonard Czarnecki. Sterne was most recently the General Manager at the Fairmont Battery Wharf in Boston. He is the former Hotel Manager for the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess and Director of Operations at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa.

Rosewood's Hotel Georgia has named Steve Halliday Managing Director. He is the former Vice President and General Manager of the Pan Pacific Vancouver.

Dani Pretto has transitioned into the role of General Manager for the Burrard in Vancouver. She was most recently overseeing the hotel's renovation as Principal and Project Manager for VanTerre Projects.

The St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort, Puerto Rico has appointed Erik Berger General Manager. He was most recently at the Westin Moana Surfrider as General Manager. At the St. Regis, he takes over from opening General Manager David Kurland.

George Garcia is the new General Manager of Puerto Rico's El San Juan Hotel & Casino. He was most recently the General Manager of the Harvard Hotel & Club New York.

Eric Sather is the new General Manager at the Resort at Squaw Creek. He was most recently the General Manager of the Water Color Inn and Resort. He is the former General Manager of the Peaks Resort and Golden Door Spa in Telluride as well as Robert Redford's Sundance.

Russ Burbank has been named General Manager of the Hilton Santa Fe Golf Resort and Casino at Buffalo Thunder, taking over from Tim Booth. He had previously opened the Talking Stick Resort and Casino in Scottsdale and held senior management positions with Durango Mountain Resort and the Sheraton Tamarron.

Rob Adams has been appointed General Manager of the Marriott Suites Anaheim. He was most recently the General Manager of the Denver Airport Marriott. 

The Westin Playa Bonita Panamá, slated to open in October, has named Francisco Silva General Manager. He was most recently the General Manager of the Marriott Tijuana.

Peter Gillis has been appointed General Manager of the Delta Ottawa City Centre. He was most recently the General Manager of the Delta Vancouver Suites.
 
Peter Catarino replaces Peter Gillis as the new General Manager of the Delta Vancouver Suites. His most recent position was as General Manager of the Delta Whistler Village Suites.  
 
Jeff Waters has been named General Manager of the Delta Toronto Airport West. He was most recently the General Manager of the Marriott Toronto Airport Hotel.

The Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa has named Colleen Kareti General Manager. She was most recently with the Hyatt Regency Irvine as General Manager.

The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa has promoted Diana Rosure to General Manager. She joined the hotel in 2007 and was most recently serving as Director of Spa and Retail. She is the former Spa Operations Manager for the Hotel del Coronado.

Mark Van Cooney has taken over from Gnell Abracosa as General Manager of the Sé San Diego. Van Cooney was most recently overseeing the Sheraton Delfina in Los Angeles.

Caroline Dyal has moved down the California Coast to take over as General Manager of the Hotel La Jolla. For the past year, she had been the Hotel Manager for the Hotel Palomar in Los Angeles. She had previously overseen operations for the Viceroy Santa Monica and the Chamberlain West Hollywood.

The Omni Shoreham has named Peter Sams General Manager. He was previously with the Omni Richmond as General Manager.

Hervé Blondel has joined the Hotel Ivy in Minneapolis as General Manager. He is the former General Manager of the Carlton San Francisco.

The HotelRED in Madison, Wisconsin, has appointed Jason Ilstrup General Manager. He was previously overseeing the Iron Horse Hotel in Milwaukee.

Thomas Mueller has been appointed General Manager of the Lifestyle Holidays Vacation Resort in Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic. Previously, he was the General Manager of the Hotel Sandos Caracol in Playa del Carmen and the Riu Palace Las Americas in Cancun.

Los Angeles' Joie de Vivre-managed Custom Hotel has appointed Chan Jin General Manager. Jin was most recently with the Beverly Hilton as Director of Food and Beverage. He is the former Resident Manager of the Hilton LAX.

The Petit St. Vincent Resort in the Caribbean has named husband and wife team Matthew Semark and Anie Ardiani to the roles of General Manager and Executive Assistant Manager, respectively. Semark was most recently the General Manager of the Karma Jimbaran Resort in Bali and Ardiani was most recently serving as Director of Rooms at the Balé Resort in Nusa Dua, also in Bali.

Jerry Beale has returned to Wilson Associates to take on the role of Senior Vice President and Managing Director, based in Los Angeles. He had previously spent eighteen years with the design firm before taking on his most recent role as Senior Vice President Design for Wynn Design and Development.

Dan Q. Kwan moves to New York with Wilson Associates as Senior Vice President and Managing Director, taking over from Margaret McMahon who is now with WATG. Kwan has been with the company since 2007, most recently as Executive Design Director in their Singapore offices.

Lynn Brutman has been named Hotel Manager at the Four Seasons Toronto. She has been with the company for over twenty years, most recently as Resort Manager at the Four Seasons Whistler.

Juan Pablo Laginia has been promoted to Director of Operations at the InterContinental San Francisco. He was most recently serving the hotel as Director of Rooms, and was previously with the InterContinental Miami as Assistant Director of Front Office.

Alejandra Vicenttin has joined L'Auberge du Lac in Louisiana as Director of Hotel Operations. Since 1993, Vicenttin had been with the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, previously serving as Executive Assistant Manager at the Ritz-Carlton South Beach.

Wonny Rengersen has joined the Inn at Dos Brisas as Assistant General Manager. For the past three years, she had been with the Resort at Paws Up as Director of Lodging. She is also the former Hotel Director for Lajitas Resort & Spa.

Cormac O'Modhrain has joined Sunstone Hotel Advisors as Vice President Asset Management. For the past four years, he had been with the CIM Group as President of Hospitality Management. He is the former General Manager of the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach and the former Park Hyatt Los Angeles.

Laurent Xatart has joined BR Guest Restaurants in New York as Chief Financial Officer. He was most recently in the same role with Villa Enterprises Management.

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has promoted Mark Koehler to the newly created position of Vice President, Operations Finance, Americas. The Cornell graduate had served as Director of Finance at the Four Seasons Scottsdale at Troon North since 1998.  

The Four Seasons Miami has named Nihat Yuksel Director of Finance. He was most recently with Fillmore Capital Partners and is a former Director of Finance for the Hard Rock Hotel Chicago.

Interstate Hotels & Resorts has named Julie Pangelinan Chief Financial Officer. She was previously the Chief Financial Officer of Sunrise Senior Living.

Harris White has returned to the post of Chief Financial Officer for Sage Hospitality. He had previously served in the position for six years in the late '90s and early '00s. He then moved into finance positions for Denver-based Wellbridge Companies and Morgan Keegan & Company.  

Dino DiVito has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of Delta Hotels and Resorts. He most recently held the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at the Great Gulf Group. 

Jonathan Cruthers has been promoted to Director of Food and Beverage, joining the Four Seasons Boston. He was most recently serving as Assistant Director of Food and Beverage at the Four Seasons Maui. He had previously served in food and beverage positions for the Four Seasons Park Lane, and the Four Seasons Great Exuma.

The Peabody Hotel Little Rock has appointed Alain Piraux Director of Food and Beverage. He was most recently the Executive Assistant Director Food and Beverage at the Hilton Tysons Corner. Piraux is also a former Ritz-Carlton man.

Laurent Filius has joined the Hyatt Regency Bonaventure Conference Center and Spa in Florida as Director of Food and Beverage. He had previously held food and beverage positions with the Hyatt Regency Princeton, the Hyatt Regency Washington and the Hyatt Regency New Orleans.

InterContinental Hotels has appointed Paul Snyder Vice President, Corporate Responsibility, the Americas Region, based in Atlanta. The Cornell graduate was most recently serving the company as Vice President, Portfolio Operations, the Americas. 

Marcus Hotels & Resorts has promoted Jeannette Grayson to Divisional Director, Human Resources. She joined the company in 2007 as Corporate Training Manager. She had previously held various positions in human resources for Goodwill Industries, the Blood Center of Wisconsin and Aurora Health Care.

Hilton Worldwide has appointed Jon Muñoz Senior Director of Global Diversity and Inclusion. He was most recently in a similar role for Sprint.

At BR Guest, Jane Hooper has been appointed Vice President, Human Resources, taking over from AJ Kamra, a former Starwood man. Hooper was previously the Director of Human Resources for the Tao Group in Las Vegas.

Caryl Hostetter has been named Senior Human Resources Director at the Pelican Hill Resort. She was most recently overseeing human resources at the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel.

Cheryl Magdaleno steps in to take over from Hostetter as Director of Human Resources at the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel. She was most recently in the same position for the JW Marriott Desert Springs. She is the former Director of Human Resources for the Ritz-Carlton Orlando and the Ritz-Carlton Marina del Rey.

The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa has named Jorge Tostado Director of Human Resources. He had previously held human resources management positions at the Hilton San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf, the Claremont Hotel Club & Spa and the Houston Marriott Westchase.

Theresa Zupon has been named Director of Human Resources for the Longboat Key Club & Resort in Florida. She is a former Director of Human Resources at the Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa and the Beverly Hills Hotel.

Patrick Hansen has been promoted at Marcus Hotels & Resorts to the post of Director, Strategic Planning and Special Projects. He has been with the company for fifteen years and is the former Managing Director for the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa and General Manager of the Westin Columbus.

Marcus Hotels and Resorts has promoted Christine Beuchert to Senior Director, Marketing and E-Commerce Strategy. She has previously served the company as Corporate Director of Marketing.

Interstate Hotels & Resorts has appointed Emily Boling Lynn Vice President, Global Sales and Strategic Accounts. She was previously the Director of Sales and Marketing at the Hilton Lexington Downtown Hotel & Conference Center in Kentucky.

Brian Burton has been named Senior Director, Sales and Revenue Strategy for Marcus Hotels & Resorts. He has been with the company since 2008 and had previously held sales positions for the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort and the Renaissance Chicago North Shore.

Danielle Choi is now Director of Global Sales, Americas, with Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts, based in New York. She was most recently at the Jumeirah Essex House as Director of Corporate Sales. She is a former Regional Sales Manager for the Morgans Hotel Group.

Benchmark Hospitality has promoted Lisa Maria Stice to Vice President of Global Online Marketing. She joined the company last year as Global Director of Online Marketing and is the former Associate Vice President Ecommerce Marketing for Noble House Hotels & Resorts. 

Don Schreifels has returned to Toronto to take the position of Director of Marketing at the Four Seasons Toronto. He began his Four Seasons career 23 years ago at the former Inn on the Park, in Toronto, before moving over to the Yorkville property. He was most recently overseeing sales for the Four Seasons Bora Bora, based in Los Angeles. He had served in sales management positions for the Four Seasons Palm Beach, the Four Seasons Newport Beach and the Four Seasons Nevis based in New York.

Cory Carlson has joined the Four Seasons Jackson Hole as Director of Sales and Marketing, taking over from Kim Hoffman. Carlson is the former Director of Sales for the Resort at Squaw Creek, Associate Director of Sales at the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort and Senior Sales Manager at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek.

Dee Doak has joined the Sofitel Los Angeles as Director of Sales and Marketing, taking over from Jimmy Legg. Doak is the former Director of Sales and Marketing for the Millenium Biltmore Los Angeles and the Beverly Hilton.

Mike Islava has joined Noble House Hotels and Resorts as Area Director of Sales and Marketing, based in Palm Springs. He was most recently the Director of Sales and Marketing for Dolce Hotels and Resorts. Islava had previously overseen sales and marketing for the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort and Spa, La Quinta Resort and the Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage.

Crystal Cruises has hired Jack Anderson as Senior Vice President, Marketing and Sales, taking over from Bill Smith, who is now with Virtuoso. Anderson was most recently Senior Vice President, Marketing and Sales and Public Relations, at Seabourn. He is the former Vice President of Corporate Marketing and Sales for Carnival.

Vail Resorts has appointed Kirsten Lynch Chief Marketing Officer. She was most recently in the same position for PepsiCo in Chicago and is the former Vice President of Marketing with Kraft Foods.

Anne-Juliette Maurice has moved to the Setai Fifth Avenue as Director of Sales and Marketing. She was most recently with the Morgans Hotel Group as Regional Director of Marketing. She is the former Director of Sales and Marketing for the (former) Swissôtel The Drake, New York.

Greg Naylor takes on the newly created position of Director of Sales for Hard Rock Hotels & Casinos. He was most recently with the West Paces Hotel Group in Atlanta as Corporate Director, Electronic Distribution & Sales Systems. Naylor is the former Director of Sales and Marketing for West Paces' Hotel 71 in Chicago.

Virgil Napier has taken on the role of Director of Sales and Marketing at the W Retreat & Spa–Vieques Island, based out of the Starwood regional office in Miramar, Florida. He was most recently in the same role for the Viceroy Anguilla. He had previously spent seven years with Ritz-Carlton in sales positions for the Ritz-Carlton St. Thomas and the Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove.

Brian Dunne has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing for the Hotel 718 in Brooklyn, scheduled to open in November. For the past three years, he had served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Magna Hospitality Group.

Handan Bas-Bailey has been named Director of Sales and Marketing for the Omni Shoreham Hotel. Most recently, she was a Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for the Pyramid Hotel Group.  

Kevin Anawati has been appointed Director of Sales for the Hotel Hanford in Costa Mesa, California. He was most recently the Director of Sales for the Avalon in Beverly Hills. 

Bruce Skidmore has joined the Peabody Hotel Little Rock as Director of Sales and Marketing. He was most recently overseeing sales and marketing for the Queen Mary in Long Beach.

Todd Scholl has been named Director of Sales and Marketing for the Hyatt Regency Tulsa. He is the former Director of Sales and Marketing for the Peabody Little Rock and the Canterbury in Indianapolis.

The Sheraton Old San Juan Hotel has named Armando Emanuelli Director of Sales and Marketing. He was most recently serving as Director of Global Accounts for ConferenceDirect.

Dennis Hofilena has joined the Hotel Wilshire in Los Angeles as Director of Sales and Marketing. He was most recently the Director of Sales for the Petit Ermitage and is a former Director of Sales and Marketing for the Sunset Marquis.

Teresa Holden has launched the Holden Marketing Group. She was most recently a Partner at Allimar with Allison Kneubuhl who is now Director of Sales and Marketing at the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa. Holden is also a former Director of Sales and Marketing of the (former) St. Regis Los Angeles, Morgans' Mondrian and the W Westwood.

Steve Huey has been appointed Director of Sales at the Doubletree by Hilton Dallas Market Center. He was most recently a Sales Manager for the AT&T Hotel & Conference Center at the University of Texas in Austin.

Sora Chan has returned to the Baronette Renaissance Detroit in the new role of Director of Sales. In 2004, she had joined the hotel in the Front Office. She is the former Director of Sales of the Marriott Southfield and Assistant Director of Sales at the Sheraton Novi.

Heather Stetzer has been named Director of Sales for the HotelRED. Most recently, she was with the Marriott Madison West as a Corporate Sales Manager.

Jesh Batra has joined the Hyatt Regency Dallas/Fort Worth as Associate Director of Sales. He had previously served in sales positions for the Dallas Marriott Las Colinas and the Adolphus.

Lesly Connolly has bee named Senior Sales Manager for the Omni Bedford Springs Resort & Spa, based in Washington, D.C. She most recently assisted in the opening of the Mason Inn Conference Center & Hotel at George Mason University, as Group Sales Manager.

Mari Goodwin has been named Group Sales Manager at Meadowood. She was most recently a Senior National Sales Manager at the Red Rock Casino Resort Spa and a National Sales Manager for Wynn Las Vegas.

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has appointed Nancy Newberry Williams Sales Manager at CordeValle. She is a former Sales Manager at the Palm Springs Convention Center. 

George Nickels has moved up the coast to join the SLS at Beverly Hills as Director of Catering. For the past four years, he had been in Newport Beach, overseeing special events for the Resort at Pelican Hill. He had previously held catering posts for the Four Seasons Silicon Valley and the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel.

Lauren Sells Walker has been named Director of Catering at the Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center Doubletree. She had held similar roles with the Greenbrier and the Homestead.

Ivy Stark has been promoted to the post of Concept Executive Chef for BR Guest's Dos Caminos, succeeding Scott Lindquist. For several years, she was a Regional Executive Chef and the Assistant Concept Executive Chef for Dos Caminos.

Alejandro Rojas has joined the Rosewood Mayakoba as Executive Chef. He was most recently serving in the same position for the Mandarin Oriental Riviera Maya after joining them in 2007 as Executive Sous Chef.

Oliver Beckert has moved to the new Four Seasons Baltimore as Executive Chef. He was most recently in the same position for the Four Seasons Vancouver. Ned Bell takes over from Beckert as Executive Chef after a brief stint at Rosewood's Hotel Georgia.

Bruno Egea is the opening Executive Chef for the first casino in New York City, the Resorts World Casino. He was most recently in Miami as Executive Chef at the Delano. Egea is also a former Corporate Executive Chef for Celebrity Cruises and Executive Chef at the Fairmont Newport Beach.

This fall, Alex Stupak will open Empellón Cocina on First Avenue. He was most recently running Empellón in the West Village. He is the former Pastry Chef at WD-50 and Alinea in Chicago.

Fritz Doss has been named Executive Chef at the Sheraton Dallas. The CIA graduate is the former Senior Executive Chef at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta and the Hyatt Regency Irvine.

Matthew Tropeano takes over from David Malbequi as Executive Chef at La Silhouette in New York. Tropeano was most recently the Executive Chef at La Grenouille.

The Meritage Resort and Spa has appointed Mike Collins Executive Chef. He is the former Executive Chef at the Windsor Court Hotel in New Orleans.

Alexander Reyes has been named Executive Chef at the InterContinental Tampa. He was most recently the Executive Sous Chef for the Loews Portofino Bay Hotel in Orlando. He had previously served in the kitchens at the Loews Royal Pacific Resort and at the Hyatt Regency Orlando International.

Richard Preston has been promoted to Executive Chef at the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort. He joined the resort last October as Sous Chef. He is the former Sous Chef for the Hyatt Regency Calgary. 

The Warwick Denver has names Jean Claude Cavalera Executive Chef. For the past twenty years, he had his own restaurant in Colorado and previously served as Executive Chef for the Ritz-Carlton Boston and Executive Sous Chef for the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel.

David Patterson is now in New York at Benoit Bistro as Executive Sous Chef. He was most recently a Sous Chef at Adour at the St. Regis Washington, D.C.

Jonathan Sudar has joined the Four Seasons Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo as Executive Sous Chef. He was most recently in the same role at the Four Seasons Damascus.

The Montage Beverly Hills has named Darius Allyn Sommelier. He was most recently in Las Vegas with the Bellagio.

Milana Knowles has been appointed Spa Director at the Mandarin Oriental New York. She was most recently with SpaFinder in New York and is a former Vice President of Business Development with GreenHouse.

Acqualina Resort & Spa on the Beach has appoints Cassandra Sessa Spa Director. She was most recently the Director of Spa Services at the Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia and is the former Spa Director for the Conrad Miami.

George Lang, a legendary restaurateur and charming raconteur, has died at 86. Arriving in New York in 1946, this Hungarian became one of the pillars of Restaurant Associates, prior to launching a solo career as the owner of Café des Artistes in 1975. Lang wrote several books and was also known for reviving the famed restaurant Gundel's in his native Budapest for the Lauder family.

J. Terrence Lanni, who helped turn a single casino into the industry giant now known as MGM Resorts International has died. He was 68. He joined Caesars World Inc. in 1977 and over 18 years rose to become its President and Chief Operating Officer. In 1995, he moved to MGM Grand. In 2000 he oversaw the purchase of Mirage Resorts, thus creating MGM Mirage. In 2004 MGM Mirage bought the Mandalay Resort Group.

EUROPE

Sofitel has promoted Robert Gaymer-Jones to Chief Executive Officer. Since 2007, he had served the company as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining ACCOR, Gaymer-Jones had a 26-year career with Marriott, culminating with the position of Area Vice President for Southern England and Ireland.

Rocco Forte Hotels has named Ivan Artolli Operations Director - UK, Belgium and Eastern Europe, based in London. He is the former General Manager of the Balmoral in Edinburgh and General Manager of the Hotel Savoy in Florence.

Franck Arnold is now the General Manager of the Balmoral, taking over from Artolli. Arnold was most recently overseeing the Jefferson in Washington, D.C. He is the former Hotel Manager of the Four Seasons Chicago and the InterContinental The Barclay New York.

The Grand Hotel Heiligendamm has named Henning Matthiesen General Manager, taking over from Holger King. Matthiesen was most recently the General Manager at the Augustine in Prague. He previously served as Assistant Manager at the Hotel Adlon Kempinksi in Berlin and as General Manager at the Coombe Abbey Hotel.

Ken Dittrich takes over from Matthiesen as General Manager of the Augustine Prague. Dittrich was most recently the General Manager at the Corinthia St. Petersburg.

Eric Pere takes over from Dittrich as General Manager of the Corinthia St. Petersburg. Pere was most recently in the same position for the Corinthia Bab Africa Hotel Tripoli. He is the former General Manager of the Bora Bora Lagoon Resort & Spa, and the Hotel Port Palace Monaco.

Simon Wakefield has been named General Manager for London's Athenaeum Hotel and Apartments. He was most recently the Hotel Manager at the Crowne Plaza London - The City.

Reuben Mifsud has been named General Manager of the Marina Hotel at the Corinthia Beach Resort St Julians in Malta. He is the former Director of Operations at the Corinthia Hotel Tripoli and acting General Manager of the Panorama Hotel Prague.

Knut Wylde has joined Coworth Park as Assistant General Manager. He was most recently the Director of Operations handling the reopening of the Renaissance St Pancras London. Wylde is the former Director of Operations of the Loch Lomon Golf Club in Scotland and Resident Manager of the One&Only Reethi Rah.

The Hilton London Heathrow Terminal 5, due to open this month, has named Greg Place General Manager. He is the former Director of Strategic Development for Whitbread's London hotel properties.

Kai Hoffmeister has joined the Vidago Palace Hotel in Portugal as General Manager. He was most recently at the Martinhal Beach Resort Spa & Hotel as Hotel Manager. He is the former Hotel Manager of Angsana Resort & Spa Maldives Velavaru and Executive Assistant Manager of the Angsana Resort & Spa Maldives Ihuru.

Richard Raab has been named Hotel Manager for the Four Seasons Lion Palace St. Petersburg. He has been with the company since 1998, most recently as Resort Manager at the Four Seasons Nevis.

Bastian Germer has joined the recently re-opened Renaissance St. Pancras in London as Hotel Manager, taking over from Knut Wylde. Germer is the former Managing Director for Uncharted Hotels and Resorts in Singapore.

Alexandra Mosquito has been named Hotel Manager for the Hilton Heathrow Terminal 5. She is a former General Manager with Millennium & Copthorne Hotels and the General Manager of the Holiday Inn London Heathrow.

Ernesto Velasco has transferred as Director of Finance to the Four Seasons Lion Palace St. Petersburg. He is the former Director of Finance at the Four Seasons Mauritius at Anahita and at the Four Seasons Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru.

Steven Close has been appointed Director of Finance for the Hilton London Heathrow Terminal 5. He is the former Financial Controller for West Register Hotels, and Finance Director - Northern Ireland, with Hilton Hotels UK.

Oliver Geyer has been appointed Executive Assistant Manager of the InterContinental Prague. He was most recently serving as Executive Assistant Manager at the brand new Kameha Grand in Bonn.

Peter Fuchs returns to the UK as Culinary Director for the Celtic Manor Resort and Celtic Manor collection. He was the Executive Chef of Harrods before taking on his most recent role as Director of Food and Beverage for the Creta-Terra Maris Convention & Golf Resort in Crete.

The Hilton London Heathrow Terminal 5 has named Caroline Lowe Director of Human Resources. She had previously served in human resources positions for the Park Inn Heathrow and for Marriott.

Dolce Hotels and Resorts has appointed Cornell man Jan-Willem den Ridder Vice President of Development for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, based in the UK. He was previously the Regional Vice President for Marriott International, based in London.
 
Jumeirah has promoted Alison Wheatley to Brand Marketing Manager, Europe, based in London. Since 2010, she had served as Marketing and Communications Manager at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower and Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel. Previously, she had held the position of Marketing Manager at the Athenaeum for close to ten years.

Mandarin Oriental is building a dream team in Europe: Gilles Humeau, the former Director of Marketing at the Four Seasons George V, has been named Vice President of Sales, Southern Europe.

Still with Mandarin Oriental, Vanina Sommer has been named Regional Director of Marketing, Southern Europe, based in Paris. She was previously the Director of Marketing and Communications for Concorde Hotels & Resorts.

Alison Styles leaves Langham International and her position of Director of Worldwide Sales, to join Mandarin Oriental as Vice President Sales & Marketing for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, based in London.

As for Christian Boerger, formerly the Director of Revenue Management for Design Hotels, he joins Mandarin Oriental as Regional Director of Revenue Management for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Tiffany Crawford has joined the Hilton London Heathrow Terminal 5 as Director of Business Development. She had previously held various revenue management roles for IHG, Park Inn and Marriott.

Isabella Owen has been named Director of Sales and Marketing for the Jumeirah Hotel Frankfurt, opening in September. She is the former Director of Sales and Marketing at the Shangri-La Vienna and Sclosshotel Buehlerhoehe.

Samuel Berne has been named Director of Sales and Marketing at the Hotel Kempinski Le Mirador. He is the former Director of Sales and Marketing at the Radisson Blu Resort Split in Croatia.

Sandra Farrero is the new Director of Sales and Marketing for the Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa in Spain, opening in early 2012. She had previously served in sales and marketing positions with Hyde Park Residence in London, the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Arts Barcelona and the Hotel Rey Juan Carlos I.

Jo Peck has joined the Hilton London Heathrow Terminal 5 as Director of Sales and Marketing. She is a former Regional Sales Manager at the Slough/Windsor Marriott.

The Four Seasons St. Petersburg has named Manfred Thievessen Director of Marketing. He is the former Director of Sales and Marketing for the JW Marriott Resort & Spa Cancun and Casa Magna Marriott Resort Cancun and had previously overseen sales and marketing at the Marriott Son Antem Golf Resort & Spa, Mallorca in Spain.

Paul Danabie has joined the Hilton London Heathrow Terminal 5 as Executive Chef. He is the former Executive Chef at Matfen Hall Hotel, Golf and Spa and the Sofitel London St James.

The Kempinski Hotel Gravenbruch Frankfurt has named Sebastian Reiff Executive Chef. He is the former Corporate Food and Beverage Director and Corporate Chef Mexico at Be Live Hotels.

ASIA AND THE PACIFIC

Millennium & Copthorne has promoted Wong Hong Ren to Chief Executive Officer, taking over from Richard Hartman, who is retiring. Hong Ren was most recently the Chief Financial Officer for the group and will maintain most of his current duties along with his new position. He has worked for company since 1996, and was promoted to CFO in 2001.

Thanyapura in Phuket has appointed Robert Hauck Group President. He is the former General Manager of the Raffles Grand Hotel d'Angkor in Cambodia.

Craig Anderson has been named General Manager of the Westin Moana Surfrider taking over from Erik Berger, who is now running the St. Regis in Puerto Rico. Anderson was most recently the General Manager of the Westin Maui Resort & Spa.

Martin Kleinmann has moved to the Ritz-Carlton Shenzhen as General Manager. He was most recently in the same role for the Ritz-Carlton Istanbul. He is the former General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Nile Hotel.

The Angsana Laguna Phuket, slated to open in December, has named Jerry John General Manager. He was most recently with the Banyan Tree Phuket as Hotel Manager.

Ian Alexandre has been appointed General Manager of the Sofitel Wentworth in Sydney and Vice President Pacific for Sofitel. He was most recently Area General Manager at the Sofitel Wanda Beijing.

Pierre Lang has been named General Manager of the Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa. He was most recently the Executive Assistant Manager Rooms & Residences at Armani Hotels & Resorts. He had previously overseen rooms division for the Capella Singapore and the One&Only Reethi Rah.

Ed Brea has joined the Kerry Hotel Pudong as General Manager. He was most recently in the same position at the Shangri-La Vancouver. He is the former General Manager of the Traders Hotel Kuala Lumpur and the Shangri-La Cairns.

Charles-Henri Chevet has been named General Manager of the Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra in Cambodia, taking over from Didier Lamoot, now in Bora Bora. Chevet was most recently the General Manager at the Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort in Siem Reap. He is the former Hotel Manager of the Sofitel Shanghai Hyland and the Sofitel Wanda Beijing.

Andrew Leith has been appointed General Manager of the SwissBelhotel Bay View, Bali. He was most recently serving as Executive Assistant Manager at the Angsana Ihuru.

Didier Belmonte has joined the Strand, Yangon as General Manager. He was most recently the Executive Assistant Manager at sister GHM property the Legian Bali. He is the former Director of Food and Beverage for the Saujana Kuala Lumpur.

Marc Handl has joined BC Hotel And Residences in Beijing as General Manager. For the past year, he had served as the Hotel Manager with the Peninsula Tokyo. He is the former Director of Sales and Marketing for the Grand Hyatt Seoul and Director of Food and Beverage for the Park Hyatt Chicago.
 
Kelly Lewis has joined the Indigo Pearl Phuket as General Manager. Lewis is the former General Manager of the Makena Beach and Golf Resort in Wailea and Grove Isle Hotel and Spa in Coconut Grove.

Frédéric Perrin has joined the Viceroy Maldives as pre-opening Resort Manager. He was most recently the Resident Manager at the One&Only The Palm. He is the former Director of Food and Beverage for the Four Seasons Maldives at Kuda Huraa.

Ed Diluca has been appointed Resident Manager of the Angsana Laguna Phuket. For the past two years, he had been directing food and beverage at the Banyan Tree Mayakoba in Mexico.

Joey Wu has joined the St. Regis Tianjin as Hotel Manager. He was most recently in the same position at Le Méridien Taipei. He is the former Director of Food and Beverage at the Grand Hyatt Taipei and the Hyatt Hotel and Casino Manila.

Marco Militzer has joined the MGM Grand Sanya as Hotel Manager. He was most recently overseeing rooms for the Ritz-Carlton Sanya. He is the former Executive Assistant Manager Rooms at the Ritz-Carlton Beijing Financial Street.

The Sukhothai Bangkok has named Pattama Yoshimura Hotel Manager. She was most recently the General Manager of the InterContinental Hua Hin Resort. She is the former Executive Assistant Manager of the InterContinental Bangkok.

Luhu Winarno has moved over to the Angsana Laguna Phuket to take over as Executive Assistant Manager, Rooms. Winarno has been with Banyan Tree since 1999, most recently as Hotel Manager for the Banyan Tree Ringha in China.

Carlos Tarrero takes over from Didier Belmonte as Executive Assistant Manager at the Legian Bali. Tarrero was most recently the Assistant Rooms Division Director for the Ritz London.

Boumédiène Ouadjed has been appointed Assistant General Manager for Le Méridien Bora Bora. For the past five years, he had been serving as Complex Director of Sales and Marketing for Le Méridien Libreville in Gabon.

Melville John has been promoted to Director of Food and Beverage, joining the Four Seasons Koh Samui. He was most recently with the Four Seasons Kuda Huraa and Landaa Giraavaru as Food and Beverage Manager.

Cedric Besler is now with the Conrad Dalian as Director of Food and Beverage. He was most recently in the same role for the Shangri-la Beijing. He had previously overseen food and beverage at the Sofitel Wanda Beijing and the Hotel Concorde Lafayette in Paris.

The InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong has appointed Carroll Chu Director of Human Resources. She was most recently with the Island Shangri-La Hong Kong as Training Manager.

Polly Chen has been promoted to Director of Sales and Marketing, joining the Four Seasons Hangzhou at West Lake. Since 2009, she had served as Director of Sales for both the Four Seasons Maldives at Kuda Huraa and the Four Seasons Maldives at Landaa Giraavarut, in addition to the Four Seasons Explorer. She is the former Director of Sales of the Four Seasons Macau.

Anantara Hotels and Resorts has named Meg Evans Area Director of Sales and Marketing for Thailand. She was most recently with Marriott International as Country Director of Marketing for Jordan.

Maneeporn Koatkhao has joined Anantara Hotels and Resorts as Area Director of Sales MICE, Thailand. She had previously served in sales and marketing roles for the Conrad Bangkok and the Shangri-La Bangkok.

Anantara has appointed Kamutporn Chaiwong Director of Sales and Marketing for the Anantara Hua Hin Resort & Spa. Chaiwong was most recently the Director of sales for VIE Hotel Bangkok and V Villas Hua Hin.

Aticha Pasaprates has been named Director of Sales and Marketing for Rasananda Resort & Spa Phangan, which will join Anantara in November. Pasaprate has previously served in sales and marketing roles with Marriott International London, the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit Bangkok, the Plaza Athénée Bangkok and Le Méridien Angkor.

Benjawan Meksakul has been named Director of Sales and Marketing for the Anantara Golden Triangle Resort & Spa. She was previously the Director of Sales and Marketing at Le Méridien Chiang Rai Resort.

The Anantara Mui Ne in Vietnam has appointed Zosimo Jimeno Director of Sales and Marketing. Jimeno had previously held the position of marketing instructor for BrainBox in Ho Chi Minh City as well as senior sales roles for Victoria Hotels & Resorts in Vietnam.

Gary Ge has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing for Anantara Xishuangbanna in China. Ge was most recently Director of Sales and Marketing for the Golden Tulip Ashar Suites City Centre Shanghai.

Benjaporn Magroodtong takes on the role of Director of Sales overseeing wholesale for Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas. For the past three years, she had been with the Pullman Bangkok as Director of Sales.

Fabrice Huet has been appointed Executive Chef of the St. Regis Princeville Resort.  He was most recently the Executive Chef at the Four Seasons Resort L?nai at Manele Bay and the Lodge at Koele.

The InterContinental Bora Bora Resort & Thalasso Spa has named Antoine Torricella Chef Sommelier. He was most recently the Assistant Chef Sommelier at restaurant Michel Rostang in Paris.

Mauro Seu has joined the Sheraton Grande Walkerhill in Seoul as Executive Chef. He was most recently serving as Executive Chef at the Crowne Plaza Sanya. 

MIDDLE EAST AND AFRICA

Oliver Key has joined the St. Regis Abu Dhabi as General Manager. He was most recently in the same position for the Armani Dubai. He is the former General Manager of the Address, Dubai Marina and Hotel Manager of the Fairmont Dubai.

The Emirates Palace has appointed Bugra Berberoglu General Manager. For the past three years the Lausanne graduate had overseen the Kempinski Ishtar Hotel in Dead Sea Jordan.

New to the Ritz-Carlton group, the Al Bustan Palace in Oman has named Bernard Viola General Manager. He was most recently at the Ritz-Carlton Osaka as General Manager. He is also the former General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Bahrain Hotel & Spa. 

Pep Lozano has moved as General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal. Since 2009, he had been with the Ritz-Carlton Doha as General Manager. 

The Yas Hotel in Abu Dhabi has appointed Heiner Werdeling General Manager. He is the former General Manager of the InterContinental Abu Dhabi and the InterContinental the Grand Mumbai.

Alexander Lahmer has been appointed Executive Assistant Manager Food and Beverage at the St. Regis Saadiyat Island. He is the former Director of Food and Beverage of the Ciragan Palace Hotel Kempinski in Istanbul.

The St. Regis Saadiyat Island has appointed Barry Vitel Director of Human Resources. He was most recently in the same role for the Kempinski Emirates Palace Hotel.

Mohammad Barakat has returned to Four Seasons as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Four Seasons Amman. He had previously held the post of Director of Sales at the Four Seasons Riyadh before serving in sales positions at the Address and the Armani, both in Dubai.

Mohamed Karara has been named Director of Sales and Marketing at Rosewood's Corniche Jeddah. He was most recently with the Four Seasons Amman as Director of Sales and Marketing. He had previously served in sales roles for the Conrad Cairo and the Four Seasons Sharm El Sheikh.

Daniel Nuss has joined the St. Regis Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi as Executive Chef. He was most recently in the same role for the Yas Hotel.

Jeroen Elmendorp has joined the St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort as Director of Rooms. He is the former Director of Rooms at the Trump International Hotel Chicago.
