Starwood Hotels and Resorts is expected to manage a hotel under the Westin brand in Asia Square Tower Two in Singapore.

The Westin brand makes a return to the city-state after an absence of about a decade, with the group previously managing two Westin hotels in the Raffles City complex till the end of 2001.

The new 280-room Westin hotel will occupy the 32nd to 46th floors of Tower Two of the Asia Square development, which includes 26 levels of offices and also retail spaces on the first two floors.

The hotel is slated to open in 2013.
