Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts (MH&R) recently signed a management agreement for what will be its fourth hotel in Saudi Arabia. Following Jeddah and Madinah, a new hotel destination in Al Khobar is now on the expansion list of the Swiss hotel chain.
A new Mövenpick hotel is set to be established at an ideal location on the Al Khobar Corniche, just 10 minutes from Dammam First Industrial City. 126 luxury rooms (44m²), 20 suites, two penthouses and eight villas will be available to guests from 2005. Two restaurants and a tea lounge will then offer high-quality gastronomy à la Mövenpick. A fitness club, swimming pool, tennis courts, shopping and business centres complete the services on offer.
Sheikh Mansour Bin Jumah, owner of the exceptional hotel, is delighted that the new agreement has been concluded: "Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts enjoy an excellent reputation in the Middle East, and are known for Swiss quality of the highest standard. It was for this reason that we decided to award the management agreement to MH&R, and are convinced that we have found a strong international partner."
And Andreas Mattmüller, Senior Vice President Middle East at Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts adds: "This new project enables us to expand our network in Saudi Arabia. Al Khobar is a relatively new city, and has an important strategic position in the Doha-Bahrain-Al Khobar industrial triangle."
