Mobile-only hotel booking app offers a new simple, secure and private way to pay for stays; book and pay for a hotel room with just 3 taps and the touch of a finger.
Core News Facts:
HotelTonight announced it has integrated with Apple Pay, a new service from Apple that transforms mobile payments with an easy, secure and private way to pay.
Booking a room same-day or in advance on HotelTonight can be done in just three taps, and customers can now pay for a room using Apple Pay with just a touch of a finger on Touch ID.
HotelTonight is one of the first travel companies to offer Apple Pay to its customers
With Apple Pay, HotelTonight customers no longer need to manually add in their credit card or type in billing information. Instead, guests on-the-go can pay for their hotel room with just one touch via Touch ID. Using Apple Pay on iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, and the just-announced iPad Air 2 and iPad mini™ 3, is easy, quick and intuitive -- just like the HotelTonight app.
Security and privacy is at the core of Apple Pay. When you add a credit or debit card with Apple Pay, the actual card numbers are not stored on the device nor on Apple servers. Instead, a unique Device Account Number is assigned, encrypted and securely stored in the Secure Element on your device. Each transaction is authorized with a one-time unique dynamic security code, instead of using the security code from the back of your card.
The HotelTonight App 6.2 will support Apple Pay starting Monday, October 20 with iOS 8.1.
HotelTonight also recently updated its app to be fully iOS 8 compatible and optimized for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, complete with a handy HotelTonight Widget for quick access to reservation info and rates from recent searches. Customers can add the widget to their Today view to easily access this useful info.
Just a few weeks ago, HotelTonight announced it had redesigned its suite of apps to enable travelers to book hand-selected hotels at great rates up to 7 nights out. With the expansion from same-day to seven days out, HotelTonight is continuing to empower people to plan less and live more. Staying laser-focused on last-minute bookings means HotelTonight can focus all of its energy on creating the best experience for its customers, from the highest quality hotels with unbeatable rates to the sleekest and easiest-to-use apps. The company that invented same-day mobile hotel booking is continuing to reinvent travel for the mobile era.
